Technologies, a certified MWBE, was established - in
1997 - to meet a need that many agencies, non-
profits, and businesses in the Delaware Valley area
were experiencing. Technology in general, but
specifically, websites were becoming more and more
critical to agency missions, association goals, and
business activities, but the options for having them
developed were too costly small to medium-sized
businesses.. Major design houses sprang up to serve
clients with budgets in the $500K and up range,
traditional graphic design firms added Web design as a
sideline, and some solo designers with two or three of
the necessary skills offered there services as long as
the client could find someone to do the rest. But
there were no low-cost full-service firms.
The need was for a firm that could provide everything
needed for a professional, interactive, and functional
internet presence while integrating current in-house
technologies that served the goals of the agency.
Website design, information architecture,
interactivity, marketing, maintenance, and hosting are
all distinct skills. Pulling it all together under
experienced project management is the province of the
dedicated technology firm.
